We’re looking for a Backend/DevOps Engineer who thrives on systems thinking, automation and building reliable, scalable platforms. From Kubernetes to cloud networking, CI/CD pipelines to monitoring stacks, you’ll be at the heart of keeping Livespins online and thriving.
WHAT YOU’LL DO AS A BACKEND/DEVOPS ENGINEER AT LIVESPINS:
Development and Distributed Systems
- Contribute to backend services development using C# and .NET Core
- Build and maintain distributed systems with Microsoft Orleans, SignalR and gRPC
- Collaborate with developers to implement event-driven and real-time features at scale
Cloud and Infrastructure
- Maintain infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and AWS
- Manage Kubernetes clusters and container deployments with ArgoCD and Azure DevOps
- Implement infrastructure as code using Azure Biceps and GitOps workflows
Data and Storage
- Operate and optimize databases and event-driven systems including Postgres, CosmosDB, Event Hubs, Orleans and etcd
- Oversee storage solutions and integration with backend services
Networking and Systems
- Manage VMs, load balancers, container registries and streaming services
- Ensure system reliability, scalability and high availability
Monitoring and Security
- Maintain observability and monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, Metabase, Uptime Kuma and Logit
- Secure environments using Cloudflare Zero Trust, VPNs and identity/password management tools
Collaboration and Automation
- Manage productivity and workflow platforms including Google Workspace, Slack and the Atlassian Suite
- Work closely with developers to deliver CI/CD pipelines, automation and deployment workflows
Technical Contribution
- Collaborate with development teams to drive technical direction and best practices
- Be hands-on with code where needed, solving complex distributed systems challenges
- Support and improve deployment pipelines with Azure DevOps, Kubernetes and ArgoCD

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Proven experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or backend systems engineering
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, real-time communication and event-driven architectures
- Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, ArgoCD and CI/CD workflows
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases including Postgres and CosmosDB
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks
- A detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset with a focus on scalability and resilience
- Comfortable working in a remote, distributed environment
